Christ, Church, Community. These three words define Emmanuel Bible Church and we are a church in process of building a community of people who are defined by these words. We desire that every person who attends EBC will be able to connect to Jesus Christ by understanding His Word and experiencing His presence in a tangible way. We hope that each person will be able to connect to the church by getting to know others, and experience being known and accepted wherever they are in their life journey. And we anticipate that people will be able to connect to the community by being equipped to see how their lives fit in the larger plan God has to redeem the world to Himself, for His glory. This is an exciting mission and it is our commitment to you. We want EBC to be about these things so that Seattle might be a place where every person would become a worshipper of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

EBC family,
This weekend and next, during our Sunday morning services, we will be taking some time to pray for the nation and people of Haiti. Most everyone has heard about the destruction caused by the earthquake earlier this week, and we want to be involved in helping bring hope to a seemingly hopeless situation here. We will also be taking a special offering for the next couple weeks in order to give to the rebuilding efforts of a mission’s organization on the ground in Haiti, for the hope of rebuilding churches that have been destroyed. We’ll update you on this soon. Please be prepared to give to that.
If you are wondering what to think about the earthquake, and where God is in the midst of a terrible tragedy like this, I would encourage you to look up a couple resources and read them for comfort, encouragement, and a Christ-centered view of this. You can click the links below for this.
