Darren Larson – Senior Pastor

Darren Larson Profile PhotoDarren serves as pastor of Emmanuel Bible Church in Seattle. But he originally grew up in the sprawling metropolis of Port Orchard, WA! His greatest joy besides serving Jesus Christ is his wife, Kelly, and his two children, Bethany (5) and Zachary (2). Darren & Kelly have been married since 1999. Prior to accepting the pastorate at Emmanuel, Darren served at River West Church in Lake Oswego, OR from 1997-2005, where he worked as a youth pastor and an associate pastor, and led a growing ministry to families and teenagers. Prior to this, Darren also spent two years in ministry with Youth With A Mission Australia. He holds a Bachelor’s in Bible & Theology and Education from Multnomah University, and a Master of Arts in Biblical Exegesis from Wheaton College Graduate School. If he has free time he enjoys reading, photography, fly-fishing, golfing, and being disappointed with the Seattle Mariners.

Jud Lentz – Worship Leader

Jud Lentz Profile PhotoJud serves as the worship leader at Emmanuel Bible Church. He grew up in Lynnwood, WA where he met his beautiful wife, Kimberlee. Before accepting the position to lead at EBC, Jud spent five years leading worship for the youth at Alderwood Community Church, then graduated from Brian Utting School of Massage in 2005. After massage school he joined Carpenter’s Tools International (a.k.a. CTI Music Ministries) for one year, where he traveled the U.S. and spent five weeks in Hong Kong. Since his return, Jud got married in July of 2007, has been working for a commercial flooring company where he is currently estimating full-time, and had his prayers answered when he received a call from EBC in 2007 offering him the position to lead worship. If he has time, Jud enjoys movies, doing anything adventurous, and working on his condo.

Sara Gray – Children’s Ministry Coordinator

Sara serves as Children’s ministry coordinator at Emmanuel Bible Church. She also plays the piano on the worship team. She is a master’s of art in teaching student at Seattle Pacific University, pursuing a Language arts/social studies secondary education credential. She grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon, and moved to Seattle in August 2008. She has a bachelor’s degree in English from Simpson University, in Redding, Calif. Prior to moving to Seattle, she worked as an editorial assistant at The World newspaper in Coos Bay.

When not doing homework or working, she enjoys reading, hiking, horseback riding, craft projects , road trips, and being with friends and family.
