Simply stated, we dream of helping people become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ by connecting them to Christ, the Church, and the Community.

Connecting to Christ

Accepting Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord is the most important thing an individual can do. It’s our desire at EBC that everyone here experiences God’s forgiveness and presence through Jesus Christ so they will experience the fullness of life that God intends for his people. Connecting to Christ is also helping people become fully devoted disciples so that their daily walk with Christ helps them live with a vision of what God desires for them as missionaries in our city.

Connecting to Church

When a person becomes a believer in Jesus Christ they are automatically part of God’s family called the church. The church is not an organization, but an organism made up of many people that together function as Christ’s body. Every local church serves as a part of the body of Christ, and it so important that believers get connected at a church like EBC so they can grow in their faith and knowledge of God’s work in our world. It’s our desire that if people do not have a church home, they will make EBC their local church to get involved our Sunday service, Connecting groups, ministries, and build relationships with other believers here. We believe that Connecting to the Church includes giving to the church in time, prayer, and finances. This is the next step for those who have committed their lives to Christ, and are looking to connect to the church.

Connecting to the Community

We believe that every person who is connected to Christ and connected to the Church is a missionary. Therefore, we are attempting to build a “missional” community here at EBC, and reach our city with the good news of new life in Jesus Christ. At EBC, we believe that we are in such a strategic place to reach out to the Phinney Ridge, Fremont, Wallingford, and Woodland Park areas of N. Seattle. Within a 3-mile radius of our church building, we have approximately 220,000 people and it is estimated that less than 20% of these people attend church. So we are continually trying to think of strategic ways to connect with people around us, and be a resource to our communities for addressing the needs of individuals and families around us.
